Francesc " Cesc " Fabregas, born 4 May 1987, is a Spanish professional footballer who dallies as a center midfielder for English club Chelsea and the Spain national team.



Fabregas arose through La Masia, Barcelona's youth academy, leaving at 16 when he was signed by English Premier League side Arsenal in September 2003. Following injuries to key midfielders in the early part of the 2004-05 season, he went on support himself in the team. He violated various of the club's accounts in the process, deserving a honour as one of best available players in its own position, and won the FA Cup in 2005. He was a key figure in Spain's European Championship success in 2008 and 2012 and their 2010 World Cup succes in which he supplied the pass for Andres Iniesta's winning point in the final. On 12 October 2015, Fabregas earned his 100 th detonator for Spain.
