Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national crew both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill began his profession playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he joined the Aston Villa Academy and persisted his development. In 2004, he affiliated Burnley on a season-long lend, where he accomplished well before returning to attain his Aston Villa debut.
