David Luiz Moreira Marinho( born 22 April 1987 ), known as David Luiz, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for English club Chelsea and the Brazil national unit. Mainly a primary defender, he can also be deployed as a defensive midfielder.



After starting out at Vitoria, he endeavoured to Benfica, remaining with the guild five seasons( three ended ). He attached Chelsea in January 2011, earning the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup during 2011-12 season and triumphing the UEFA Europa League the following season. Courtois graduated through the kid method of Genk, and aged 18, he represented a key role in the team's Belgian Pro League victory.
