Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays as service centres back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national unit both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill embarked his occupation playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he joined the Aston Villa Academy and persisted his change. In 2004, he connected Burnley on a season-long lend, where he played long before returning to constitute his Aston Villa debut. Afterwards, he indicated for hometown fraternity Sheffield United on a three-month credit bargain. On 30 January 2008, he ratified for Bolton Wanderers for nearly PS5 million. Cahill performed well for Bolton through its first year, cementing a target in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He made 130 conference appearances and orchestrated 13 league objectives for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill signed for Chelsea for approximately PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his debut season at Chelsea, and will continue to be win the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 detonators and represented the commonwealth at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the join against Kazakhstan. Nonetheless, he only performed his debut on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill obligated his first start for "the member states national" unit in the friendly against Ghana. He scored his first international goal against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
