Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays as service centres back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national unit both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill embarked his career playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he joined the Aston Villa Academy and persisted his progress. In 2004, he participated Burnley on a season-long lend, where he play-act well before returning to make his Aston Villa debut. Subsequently, he indicated for hometown golf-club Sheffield United on a three-month lend spate. On 30 January 2008, he ratified for Bolton Wanderers for approximately PS5 million.
