Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who dallies as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national squad both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill originated his vocation playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he affiliated the Aston Villa Academy and resumed his growing. In 2004, he participated Burnley on a season-long lend, where he acted long before returning to perform his Aston Villa debut. Afterward, he signed for hometown society Sheffield United on a three-month credit slew. On 30 January 2008, he signed for Bolton Wanderers for nearly PS5 million. Cahill accomplished well for Bolton through the years, cementing a region in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He drew 130 league figures and composed 13 conference aims for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill signed for Chelsea for approximately PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his entry season at Chelsea, and went on to win the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 covers and represented the person at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the pair against Kazakhstan. Nonetheless, this is the only way met his introduction on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill compiled his first start for the national crew in the friendly against Ghana. He composed his first international aim against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
