Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who dallies as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national squad both of which he vice-captains.



Cahill began his busines playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he affiliated the Aston Villa Academy and persisted his progress. In 2004, he assembled Burnley on a season-long loan, where he acted well before returning to perform his Aston Villa debut. Later, he signed for hometown sorority Sheffield United on a three-month credit consider. On 30 January 2008, he indicated for Bolton Wanderers for nearly PS5 million. Cahill acted well for Bolton through its first year, cementing a place in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He drew 130 league illusions and valued 13 tournament points for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill indicated for Chelsea for nearly PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his introduction season at Chelsea, and went on to win the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.



Cahill is an England international with over 50 covers and represented the commonwealth at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the parallel against Kazakhstan. However, this is the only way cleared his introduction on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill concluded his first start for "the member states national" unit in the friendly against Ghana. He orchestrated his first international goal against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
