Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who toy as service centres back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national team both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill began his job playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he connected the Aston Villa Academy and resumed his growth. In 2004, he attached Burnley on a season-long lend, where he play-act well before returning to prepare his Aston Villa debut. Eventually, he ratified for hometown squad Sheffield United on a three-month lend deal. On 30 January 2008, he ratified for Bolton Wanderers for approximately PS5 million. Cahill played well for Bolton through the years, cementing a locate in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He reached 130 league appearances and scored 13 conference purposes for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill indicated for Chelsea for nearly PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his introduction season at Chelsea, and went on to acquire the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 ceilings and represented the society at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the competition against Kazakhstan. Nonetheless, he only fixed his debut on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill impelled his first start for the national team in the friendly against Ghana. He scored his first international goal against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
