Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who represents as service centres back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national team both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill embarked his vocation playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he connected the Aston Villa Academy and resumed his proliferation. In 2004, he joined Burnley on a season-long credit, where he accomplished long before returning to stimulate his Aston Villa debut. Subsequently, he signed for hometown fraternity Sheffield United on a three-month loan transaction. On 30 January 2008, he indicated for Bolton Wanderers for nearly PS5 million. Cahill performed well for Bolton through the years, cementing a region in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He manufactured 130 tournament impressions and orchestrated 13 league destinations for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill signed for Chelsea for approximately PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his debut season at Chelsea, and went on to acquire the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 ceilings and represented the commonwealth at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the join against Kazakhstan. However, this is the only way did his entry on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill obligated his first start for "the member states national" crew in the friendly against Ghana. He composed his first international objective against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
