Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who dallies as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national team both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill embarked his career playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he assembled the Aston Villa Academy and sustained his exploitation. In 2004, he met Burnley on a season-long lend, where he accomplished well before returning to represent his Aston Villa debut. Subsequently, he indicated for hometown fraternity Sheffield United on a three-month loan slew. On 30 January 2008, he signed for Bolton Wanderers for nearly PS5 million. Cahill performed well for Bolton through the years, cementing a place in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He drew 130 tournament appearances and orchestrated 13 league aims for Bolton. Cahill is an England international with over 50 caps and represented the commonwealth at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the accord against Kazakhstan. Nonetheless, he only drew his introduction on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill established his first start for the national crew in the friendly against Ghana. He tallied his first international destination against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
