Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays as service centres back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national unit both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill inaugurated his profession playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he met the Aston Villa Academy and prolonged his progress. In 2004, he joined Burnley on a season-long loan, where he performed well before returning to originate his Aston Villa debut. Subsequently, he indicated for hometown association Sheffield United on a three-month loan lot. On 30 January 2008, he indicated for Bolton Wanderers for nearly PS5 million. Cahill acted well for Bolton through the years, cementing a home in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He constructed 130 league expressions and orchestrated 13 league objectives for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill ratified for Chelsea for nearly PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his entry season at Chelsea, and went on to earn the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 ceilings and represented the nation at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the parallel against Kazakhstan. However, he only manufactured his introduction on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill prepared his first start for "the member states national" unit in the friendly against Ghana. He scored his first international aim against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
