Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who dallies as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national squad both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill originated his career playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he connected the Aston Villa Academy and resumed his growth. In 2004, he met Burnley on a season-long loan, where he acted well before returning to prepare his Aston Villa debut. Later, he indicated for hometown sorority Sheffield United on a three-month lend deal. On 30 January 2008, he indicated for Bolton Wanderers for approximately PS5 million. Cahill performed well for Bolton through its first year, cementing a target in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He concluded 130 league appearances and scored 13 tournament aims for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill ratified for Chelsea for approximately PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his entry season at Chelsea, and went on to triumph the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 caps and represented the person at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the competitor against Kazakhstan. Nonetheless, he only built his debut on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill moved his first start for the national squad in the friendly against Ghana. He scored his first international purpose against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
