Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who represents as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national unit both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill originated his job playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he assembled the Aston Villa Academy and continued his growth. In 2004, he connected Burnley on a season-long lend, where he played well before returning to stimulate his Aston Villa debut. Afterwards, he indicated for hometown squad Sheffield United on a three-month lend cope. On 30 January 2008, he indicated for Bolton Wanderers for approximately PS5 million. Cahill acted well for Bolton through its first year, cementing a lieu in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He performed 130 conference appearings and scored 13 league objectives for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill indicated for Chelsea for approximately PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his entry season at Chelsea, and went on to triumph the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 caps and represented the nation at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the competition against Kazakhstan. Nonetheless, this is the only way moved his entry on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill uttered his first start for the national team in the friendly against Ghana. He orchestrated his first international aim against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
