Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays as service centres back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national team both of which he vice-captains.



Cahill originated his profession playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he attached the Aston Villa Academy and resumed his progress. In 2004, he assembled Burnley on a season-long credit, where he played well before returning to conclude his Aston Villa debut. Afterward, he signed for hometown sorority Sheffield United on a three-month lend bargain. On 30 January 2008, he ratified for Bolton Wanderers for approximately PS5 million. Cahill performed well for Bolton through its first year, cementing a lieu in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He composed his first international aim against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
