Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who toy as service centres back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national squad both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill originated his vocation playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he participated the Aston Villa Academy and resumed his evolution. In 2004, he met Burnley on a season-long loan, where he performed well before returning to see his Aston Villa debut. Eventually, he signed for hometown fraternity Sheffield United on a three-month loan deal. On 30 January 2008, he indicated for Bolton Wanderers for approximately PS5 million. In January 2012, Cahill indicated for Chelsea for approximately PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his entry season at Chelsea, and will continue to be prevail the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 detonators and represented the commonwealth at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the join against Kazakhstan.
