Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays as service centres back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national crew both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill began his career playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he met the Aston Villa Academy and continued his exploitation. In 2004, he assembled Burnley on a season-long credit, where he acted well before returning to compile his Aston Villa debut. Subsequently, he indicated for hometown team Sheffield United on a three-month credit bargain. On 30 January 2008, he ratified for Bolton Wanderers for approximately PS5 million. Cahill accomplished well for Bolton through the years, cementing a target in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He performed 130 organization appearings and valued 13 conference aims for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill signed for Chelsea for approximately PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his debut season at Chelsea, and will continue to be win the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 caps and represented the nation at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the join against Kazakhstan. Nonetheless, he only formed his entry on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill originated his first start for "the member states national" team in the friendly against Ghana. He orchestrated his first international goal against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
