Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national squad both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill embarked his profession playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he assembled the Aston Villa Academy and sustained his improvement. In 2004, he joined Burnley on a season-long lend, where he performed long before returning to perform his Aston Villa debut. Subsequently, he indicated for hometown squad Sheffield United on a three-month credit transaction. On 30 January 2008, he ratified for Bolton Wanderers for approximately PS5 million. Cahill acted well for Bolton through the years, cementing a sit in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He fixed 130 league images and tallied 13 conference points for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill ratified for Chelsea for approximately PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his introduction season at Chelsea, and will continue to be win the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 caps and represented the nation at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the join against Kazakhstan. Nonetheless, this is the only way compiled his introduction on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria.
