Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays as service centres back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national unit both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill began his vocation playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he participated the Aston Villa Academy and resumed his change. In 2004, he connected Burnley on a season-long credit, where he play-act well before returning to represent his Aston Villa debut. Subsequently, he indicated for hometown sorority Sheffield United on a three-month loan lot. On 30 January 2008, he ratified for Bolton Wanderers for nearly PS5 million. Cahill acted well for Bolton through the years, cementing a neighbourhood in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He constructed 130 league appearances and scored 13 tournament objectives for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill ratified for Chelsea for approximately PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his entry season at Chelsea, and went on to prevail the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 detonators and represented the nation at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the join against Kazakhstan.
