Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who dallies as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national team both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill began his job playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he connected the Aston Villa Academy and continued his developing. In 2004, he connected Burnley on a season-long loan, where he performed long before returning to realise his Aston Villa debut. Subsequently, he signed for hometown association Sheffield United on a three-month credit slew. On 30 January 2008, he ratified for Bolton Wanderers for approximately PS5 million. Cahill acted well for Bolton through its first year, cementing a sit in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He realise 130 organization appearances and composed 13 tournament destinations for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill ratified for Chelsea for approximately PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his debut season at Chelsea, and went on to earn the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 detonators and represented the commonwealth at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the competition against Kazakhstan. However, this is the only way reached his entry on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill acquired his first start for "the member states national" crew in the friendly against Ghana. He valued his first international destination against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
