Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who dallies as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national team both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill embarked his profession playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he affiliated the Aston Villa Academy and persisted his evolution. In 2004, he assembled Burnley on a season-long credit, where he played long before returning to build his Aston Villa debut. Subsequently, he indicated for hometown squad Sheffield United on a three-month lend cope. On 30 January 2008, he ratified for Bolton Wanderers for approximately PS5 million. Cahill played well for Bolton through the years, cementing a target in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He drew 130 league expressions and composed 13 conference aims for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill signed for Chelsea for nearly PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his introduction season at Chelsea, and went on to triumph the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 covers and represented the person at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the match against Kazakhstan. Nonetheless, this is the only way determined his entry on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill realized his first start for the national squad in the friendly against Ghana. He orchestrated his first international aim against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
