David Luiz Moreira Marinho( born 22 April 1987 ), known as David Luiz, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for English club Chelsea and the Brazil national squad. Mainly a primary defender, he can also be deployed as a defensive midfielder.



After starting out at Vitoria, he endeavoured to Benfica, continuing with the golf-club five seasons( three complete ). He assembled Chelsea in January 2011, triumphing the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup during 2011-12 season and prevailing the UEFA Europa League the following season.
