Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national team both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill inaugurated his career playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he participated the Aston Villa Academy and resumed his progress. In 2004, he connected Burnley on a season-long lend, where he performed long before returning to induce his Aston Villa debut. Afterwards, he indicated for hometown fraternity Sheffield United on a three-month credit lot. On 30 January 2008, he indicated for Bolton Wanderers for approximately PS5 million.
