Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national unit both of which he vice-captains.



Cahill began his profession playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he met the Aston Villa Academy and sustained his occurrence. In 2004, he affiliated Burnley on a season-long lend, where he acted long before returning to prepare his Aston Villa debut.
