David Luiz Moreira Marinho( born 22 April 1987 ), known as David Luiz, is a Brazilian professional footballer who dallies for English club Chelsea and the Brazil national unit. Chiefly a center defender, he can also be deployed as a defensive midfielder.



After starting out at Vitoria, he moved to Benfica, abiding with the club five seasons( three ended ). He connected Chelsea in January 2011, acquiring the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup during 2011-12 season and triumphing the UEFA Europa League the following items season. In June 2014, he transferred to Paris Saint-Germain for a cost of PS50 million( EUR6 2 million ), a world record transmit for a defender , and triumphed all four domestic races in his first season in French football. He returned to Chelsea in August 2016 in a PS30 million transportation.
