David Luiz Moreira Marinho( born 22 April 1987 ), known as David Luiz, is a Brazilian professional footballer who represents for English club Chelsea and the Brazil national team. Primarily a primary guard, he can also be deployed as a defensive midfielder.



After starting out at Vitoria, he moved to Benfica, abiding with the society five seasons( three complete ). He participated Chelsea in January 2011, prevailing the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup during 2011-12 season and acquiring the UEFA Europa League the following season.
