David Luiz Moreira Marinho( born 22 April 1987 ), known as David Luiz, is a Brazilian professional footballer who dallies for English club Chelsea and the Brazil national squad. Chiefly a primary defender, he can also be deployed as a defensive midfielder.



After starting out at Vitoria, he moved to Benfica, standing with the guild five seasons( three ended ). He connected Chelsea in January 2011, prevailing the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup during 2011-12 season and earning the UEFA Europa League the following items season. In June 2014, he transferred to Paris Saint-Germain for a reward of PS50 million( EUR6 2 million ), a world-wide annal carry-over for human rights defenders , and triumphed all four domestic rivalries in his first season in French football. He returned to Chelsea in August 2016 in a PS30 million change.



David Luiz prepared his full international debut for Brazil in 2010 and has since made over 50 covers. He was a member of the Brazilian squads which won the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and reached the semi-finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
