Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who frisks as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national unit both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill began his career playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he met the Aston Villa Academy and resumed his improvement. In 2004, he attached Burnley on a season-long lend, where he acted long before returning to draw his Aston Villa debut. Later, he ratified for hometown organization Sheffield United on a three-month credit lot. On 30 January 2008, he indicated for Bolton Wanderers for approximately PS5 million. Cahill performed well for Bolton through its first year, cementing a residence in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He procreated 130 tournament forms and valued 13 conference points for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill ratified for Chelsea for nearly PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his introduction season at Chelsea, and went on to win the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 ceilings and represented the nation at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the pair against Kazakhstan. However, this is the only way made his introduction on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill performed his first start for "the member states national" team in the friendly against Ghana. He orchestrated his first international goal against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
