Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who dallies as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national squad both of which he vice-captains.



Cahill originated his career playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he affiliated the Aston Villa Academy and resumed his growing. In 2004, he joined Burnley on a season-long loan, where he played well before returning to become his Aston Villa debut.
