Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays as service centres back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national crew both of which he vice-captains.



Cahill inaugurated his vocation playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he connected the Aston Villa Academy and resumed his occurrence. In 2004, he connected Burnley on a season-long loan, where he play-act long before returning to reach his Aston Villa debut. Later, he ratified for hometown association Sheffield United on a three-month lend spate. On 30 January 2008, he indicated for Bolton Wanderers for approximately PS5 million. Cahill play-act well for Bolton through the years, cementing a place in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He became 130 league appearings and orchestrated 13 conference points for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill signed for Chelsea for approximately PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his entry season at Chelsea, and went on to prevail the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.



Cahill is an England international with over 50 detonators and represented the person at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the accord against Kazakhstan. Nonetheless, he only saw his entry on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill obliged his first start for "the member states national" squad in the friendly against Ghana. He scored his first international point against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
