Thibaut Nicolas Marc Courtois( Dutch inflection:[ tibo kurtwa ]; French diction:[ tibo kuRtwa ]; born 11 May 1992) is a Belgian professional footballer who dallies as a goalkeeper for English Premier League club Chelsea and the Belgium national team



Courtois graduated through the boy structure of Genk, and aged 18, he played a key role in the team's Belgian Pro League victory. In three seasons there, he won the Europa League in 2012, the Copa del Rey in 2013 and the La Liga title in 2014. Courtois returned to Chelsea in July 2014, and in his first season he helped them triumph the League Cup and the Premier League title.



Courtois started his senior international debut in October 2011, becoming a very young goalkeeper to represent Belgium. He has since deserved over 40 covers and appeared at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2016.
