Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who represents as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national squad both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill originated his career playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he met the Aston Villa Academy and prolonged his exploitation. In 2004, he connected Burnley on a season-long loan, where he acted well before returning to do his Aston Villa debut. Eventually, he indicated for hometown society Sheffield United on a three-month credit transaction. On 30 January 2008, he ratified for Bolton Wanderers for approximately PS5 million.
