David Luiz Moreira Marinho( born 22 April 1987 ), known as David Luiz, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for English club Chelsea and the Brazil national squad. Mainly a central guard, he can also be deployed as a defensive midfielder.



After starting out at Vitoria, he endeavoured to Benfica, remaining with the organization five seasons( three terminated ). He joined Chelsea in January 2011, earning the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup during 2011-12 season and acquiring the UEFA Europa League the following items season. In June 2014, he transferred to Paris Saint-Germain for a cost of PS50 million( EUR6 2 million ), a nature evidence carry-over for a defender , and prevailed all four domestic races in his first season in French football. He returned to Chelsea in August 2016 in a PS30 million convey.
