David Luiz Moreira Marinho( born 22 April 1987 ), known as David Luiz, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for English club Chelsea and the Brazil national squad. Mainly a primary defender, he can also be deployed as a defensive midfielder.



After starting out at Vitoria, he moved to Benfica, persisting with the fraternity five seasons( three ended ). He met Chelsea in January 2011, triumphing the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup during 2011-12 season and triumphing the UEFA Europa League the following items season. In June 2014, he transferred to Paris Saint-Germain for a reward of PS50 million( EUR6 two million ), a world-wide annal displace for human rights defenders , and earned all four domestic rivalries in his first season in French football.
