David Luiz Moreira Marinho( born 22 April 1987 ), known as David Luiz, is a Brazilian professional footballer who dallies for English club Chelsea and the Brazil national squad. Principally a center defender, he can also be deployed as a defensive midfielder.



After starting out at Vitoria, he moved to Benfica, standing with the association five seasons( three complete ). He participated Chelsea in January 2011, triumphing the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup during 2011-12 season and prevailing the UEFA Europa League the following season.
