Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who frisks as service centres back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national team both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill embarked his career playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he participated the Aston Villa Academy and continued his proliferation. In 2004, he met Burnley on a season-long lend, where he played long before returning to reach his Aston Villa debut. Afterward, he ratified for hometown guild Sheffield United on a three-month lend transaction. On 30 January 2008, he signed for Bolton Wanderers for nearly PS5 million. Cahill is an England international with over 50 covers and represented the commonwealth at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the competitor against Kazakhstan.
