Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who represents as service centres back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national unit both of which he vice-captains.
Cahill embarked his career playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he participated the Aston Villa Academy and resumed his growing. In 2004, he connected Burnley on a season-long loan, where he accomplished well before returning to start his Aston Villa debut. Eventually, he signed for hometown squad Sheffield United on a three-month lend spate. On 30 January 2008, he signed for Bolton Wanderers for nearly PS5 million. Cahill played well for Bolton through its first year, cementing a plaza in the first team and becoming vice-captain. He manufactured 130 organization appearings and scored 13 tournament purposes for Bolton. In January 2012, Cahill indicated for Chelsea for approximately PS7 million. Cahill won the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup in his debut season at Chelsea, and went on to triumph the UEFA Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
Cahill is an England international with over 50 ceilings and represented the nation at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland, but chose to play for England. In June 2009, Cahill was called up to the England squad for the equal against Kazakhstan. However, he only became his entry on 3 September 2010, coming on as a substitute against Bulgaria. On 29 March 2011, Cahill impelled his first start for the national crew in the friendly against Ghana. He orchestrated his first international goal against Bulgaria in a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier.
