Gary James Cahill /' keIhIl/( born 19 December 1985) is an English professional footballer who represents as a centre back for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national squad both of which he vice-captains.



Cahill embarked his occupation playing for the AFC Dronfield youth system in Derbyshire. In 2000, he attached the Aston Villa Academy and sustained his growth. In 2004, he met Burnley on a season-long credit, where he performed long before returning to see his Aston Villa debut. Afterward, he signed for hometown sorority Sheffield United on a three-month credit treat. On 30 January 2008, he signed for Bolton Wanderers for nearly PS5 million.
