David Luiz Moreira Marinho( born 22 April 1987 ), known as David Luiz, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for English club Chelsea and the Brazil national unit. Principally a central guard, he can also be deployed as a defensive midfielder.



After starting out at Vitoria, he endeavoured to Benfica, persisting with the guild five seasons( three terminated ). He participated Chelsea in January 2011, acquiring the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup during 2011-12 season and prevailing the UEFA Europa League the following items season. In June 2014, he transferred to Paris Saint-Germain for a cost of PS50 million( EUR6 two million ), a world-wide record delivery for human rights defenders , and earned all four domestic races in his first season in French football. He returned to Chelsea in August 2016 in a PS30 million carry-over.



David Luiz fixed his full international debut for Brazil in 2010 and has since payed over 50 covers. He was a member of the Brazilian units which won the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and reached the semi-finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
